PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE: WEEK ELEVEN - TOYS

Monday, March 19, 2012

I'm not sure who wrote this poem but it's stuck with me ever since I heard it a few years back. I thought it was a fitting tribute to our Week Eleven challenge - Toys.

First things first. Thank you to all you wonderful people out there who text, emailed and left messages of support following last weeks Stike & Powerball whinge post. The scan went without issue, unless of course you count the lollipop in which case it was a raging success.

To matters of the photographic variety, I had a blast this week...a little bit too much of a blast. Somewhere between the beach, the water and the rushing around after small children my poor little 450D lost its mojo..big time. The auto-focus plain stopped responding & the crispness of the images decreased substantially. Ouch. It's now in the repair shop and I'm sans camera. I feel so naked. Obviously this puts a bit of a spanner in the works of the photography challenge, but I'm working around that.

What I've learned this week - the increasing presence of technology in our everyday lives quite frankly makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. That said it's still the "golden oldies" that keep my sons attention. Water, swings, Tonka & mattress jumping...just like back in my day.
