Stand back folks. I'm about to bust a few myths.

They say good things come in three's. I firmly believe this family I photographed a few weeks ago will convince you otherwise.

Ellen (and her sister) warned me before the shoot that her & her husband Jon were, as she described it, entirely unphotogenic. Entirely. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at their house to meet the team you're about to see below. I'll let you be the judge, but I'm fairly confident that if you looked up the word unphotogenic in a dictonary you would be more likely to find Ellen & Jon under it's synonymn.

Hanging with this family was magic from start to finish. I knew Ellen was a girl after my own heart when on arrival, Jon informed me that Ellen & Autumn (their eldest daughter) had been out at a birthday party, and he was expecting them 20 minutes ago. He then suggested calling her sister to track her down because she was so terrible with her cell phone and unlikely to answer. This was confirmed a few seconds later when he called her cell phone and it rang dutifully from the kitchen bench where she had left it. A fellow technophobe, I thought. Splendid!

On arrival things descended into downright fun. Miss 3 (Autumn) was the perfect older sister, who proudly showed off her dolly & her tummy where she was growing the families next baby. Miss 6 months old (Anna) gave me so many snuggles that I nearly had to take myself off to the hen house I was so clucky.

Here's some of the snaps from the morning.
