Monday, at the Auckland Zoo. . .

Me: "Will look over there, can you see the Peacock? Look at the Peacock Will, he's such pretty colours."
William: [Pause] "Duck"
Me: "Similar to a Duck. He has feathers like a Duck and wings like a Duck but he's actually a Peacock"
William: [Longer Pause] "Cock"
Master 3(ish) standing next to us: "Mummy, Mummy he just said cock"
Me: [Mental head slap]

On a more sobre note, I wanted to send some love to my poor sister who's had a horrible day. She's just had to have her beloved Irish Setter Clint put down. E I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish I lived closer so I could hug you until the tears stopped. He was such a lucky doggie to have you and Lizzie to love and care for him in his twilight years. Sending heaps of love to you guys and some pictures to brighten up your desktop xoxox
