WORDLESS SUNDAY - SOMETHING BLUE

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Frank Admission...I took around 100 pictures in preparation of hosting Wordless Sunday. Painted power boxes, blue signs, blue letter boxes, smurfs...(if only that were true) But in all seriousness anything blue, remotely blue and occasionally verging on green I was all over it.

Then came yesterday. Yesterday was a mixed bag. In the morning I watched a strangers beautiful Golden Retriever get hit by a car and die in my friend's driveway. In the middle of the day I took pictures of my lovely friend Katie and her gorgeous family on a farm not usually seen outside of a Disney movie. I spent the evening at my Dad's choir concert enjoying the musical talents of the Kowhai Singers accommpanied by Jessica Hindin & Friends. Suffice to say my experiences made me think about my "Something Blue" contribution.

You may (or may not) be aware that this is a topic very close to my heart, afterall it's only 4 months until I get married...and today I found my perfect "Something Blue" snap.

Enjoy Jacq

WORDLESS SUNDAY - A CHILDHOOD MEMORY REVISITED

Saturday, August 6, 2011

When I saw Renee's topic for Wordless Sunday this week I was squirm in my seat excited. I have grown up with so many blissful childhood memories that it was practically overwhelming to choose just one to "revist" for this week.

That said, what I have yet to master is the forsight to space my picture taking throughout the week instead of waiting for Sunday. I feel I can speak for all those living in the greater Auckland region when I say that today's weather has seriously let the team down. Unlike it's glorious cousin's Monday & Tuesday who practically had me wearing shorts they were so balmy, Sunday has been downright filthy.

So what to do when the weather is decidedly NOT fine? Check out the below - then head on over to Renee's blog for the rest of the pictures.

WORDLESS SUNDAY - COLOUR

Ta Da!!

This is an oldie but a goodie. It's my favourite demonstrating this weeks challenge which was "colour"

Leanne is hosting this week so head over to her blog and check out the other posts.

Hope you're having a GREAT Sunday!

WORDLESS SUNDAY - MOTION

Sunday, July 17, 2011

This is my first nudge at Wordless Sunday a photography challenge, which is the brain child of the extremely talented Dee over at Books and Bits and Pieces.

I won't lie to you. Over the past few weeks there's been a few occasions where I've seriously entertained the idea of taking to my bed, arranging various treats within arms reach & going all Grizzly Bear on Winter's ass.

Today Mother Nature threw us Aucklander's a bone (what a tease). I'm pleased to annouce we spent around 99.99% of the day outside in appreciation.

It's my Dad's 60th birthday this year. He celebrated by realising a life long dream and purchasing a vintage Mini Cooper S. She's a wee beaut - and here's my contribution to "Wordless Sunday - Motion" which is being hosted on Bec's blog.

But wait a second Jacq, I hear you say. Do my eye's deceive me or are you not the bodacious babe riding shot-gun? (I may have taken artistic licence with your thoughts for that last part).

Alas yes, my fellow readers. I must confess that this particular picture (my favourite from the series) was actually taken by Scott. Well done Sir! Doesn't it make you go zoom, zoom, zoom?
